Aftermarket GMC Yukon 1992-1999 Bumper Kits

The GMC Yukon is a full-size sport utility vehicle (SUV) that was sold by General Motors from 1992 to 1999. It was produced in two generations and was a successor to the popular Jimmy model. The Yukon was powered by a variety of V8 engines, had seating for up to seven passengers, and came with either two- or four-wheel drive.

The first generation of the GMC Yukon was produced from 1992 to 1998. It shared many components with other GM models of the same time, including the Chevrolet Tahoe, Cadillac Escalade, and GMC Suburban. The 1992-1998 model was available in two trim levels, SLE and SLT. The SLE featured cloth interior, while the SLT was lavishly equipped with leather interior and other luxury features. Standard features included air conditioning, power windows and locks, and an AM/FM stereo with cassette player. Optional features included a full-time four-wheel drive system, power driver's seat, and heated seats.

The Yukon was powered by a variety of V8 engines, including the 4.3-liter Vortec V6, 5.0-liter Vortec V8, 5.7-liter Vortec V8, and 6.5-liter Vortec V8. All engines were paired with either a four-speed automatic or five-speed manual transmission. Fuel economy was rated at 14 mpg city/20 mpg highway for the four-wheel-drive version, and 15 mpg city/22 mpg highway for the two-wheel-drive version.

The second generation of the GMC Yukon was produced from 1999 to 2001. It featured a more aerodynamic design, improved interior materials, and added safety features. The standard engine was the 5.3-liter Vortec V8, which was also available in a high-output version. It was mated to a four-speed automatic transmission and had a maximum towing capacity of 7,500 pounds. The 1999-2001 GMC Yukon was offered in three trim levels; SLE, SLT, and Denali. The Denali trim featured unique interior features, such as leather seating surfaces and woodgrain accents.

In terms of safety, the GMC Yukon was equipped with dual front airbags, side-impact airbags, antilock brakes, a rearview camera, and stability control. A tire pressure monitor and traction control were optional.

The GMC Yukon was a popular full-size SUV that offered plenty of capability and luxury features. It was powered by reliable V8 engines, had an impressive towing capacity, and came with a variety of options. It was a great choice for those who wanted a capable and luxurious SUV.
