Aftermarket Chevy S-Series Truck 1995-2005 Bumper Kits

The Chevy S-Series Truck was an iconic line of pickup trucks produced by General Motors from 1995 to 2005. It was marketed as an affordable, reliable and dependable truck that offered plenty of features and options for consumers. The model range included regular, extended and crew cab body styles, with two or four-wheel drive capabilities. All models were powered by reliable V6 or V8 engines and a variety of transmissions were available.

The 1995 model year was the first for the S-Series, which featured a redesigned exterior compared to previous Chevy trucks. The new design was bolder and more angular with larger headlights, raised fenders, a longer hood and an updated grille. Underneath the body was an improved suspension system to help offer a smoother ride and reduced noise levels. Inside the cabin, buyers were met with comfortable seating, roomy legroom and high quality materials.

The base model of the 1995 S-Series came equipped with a 4.3-liter V6 engine that delivered 160 horsepower and 255 lb-ft of torque. It was mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission and featured either rear- or four-wheel-drive capabilities. Standard features included air conditioning, power windows and locks, tilt steering wheel and a host of safety features. Available options included a power driver’s seat, cruise control and a rear sliding window.

For 1999, the S-Series received a facelift to refresh its style. This included redesigned front and rear ends, a new grille, a revised interior and an optional 5.3-liter V8 engine. The new engine provided much better performance than the base 4.3-liter, producing up to 270 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque.

A significant update arrived for the 2001 model year when the S-Series underwent a complete redesign. The body was made larger and more muscular, with a unique headlight design and a more aerodynamic shape. Inside the cabin, the interior was completely upgraded for a more luxurious feel. This included a center console with cup holders, improved seats and more controls on the dashboard.

Under the hood, the 4.3-liter V6 remained the base engine but the 5.3-liter V8 was now rated at 285 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. Buyers also had their choice of either a 4- or 5-speed automatic transmission.

The S-Series remained relatively unchanged until its discontinuation in 2005. By then, it had become a popular workhorse and a favorite among pickup truck enthusiasts. It was considered reliable and durable, offering plenty of features and options for buyers to choose from.

Today, the Chevy S-Series is still remembered fondly by many. It was quite simply one of the most reliable, efficient and reliable trucks ever built. Despite the fact that it has been out of production for 15 years, it is still respected and admired for its no-nonsense design and excellent value.
