Aftermarket Ford Ranger 1998-2000 Bumper Kits

The Ford Ranger model from 1998 to 2000 is a compact pickup truck produced by the Ford Motor Company. It was the third-generation of the Ford Ranger series and was introduced in the United States in 1998, along with an updated version in 1999. It was the first Ford Ranger to be offered with a standard four-door cab, as well as the popular Stepside bed option. The Ford Ranger offered powerful engine options and a durable frame, making it an ideal choice for people who wanted a dependable workhorse.

The 1998-2000 Ford Ranger was offered in six trim levels: XL,XLT, Sport,Splash, EDGE and the high-end Ranger FX4 Off-Road. The available engine options included a 2.3L 4-cylinder, 3.0L V6, and 4.0L V6. The standard transmission was a 5-speed manual, but 4-speed automatic transmissions were optional with the V6 engines. All Rangers came with rear-wheel-drive, and there were also two four-wheel-drive configurations available: the Manual Shift-On-The-Fly system and the electrically activated 4WD system offered on the Ranger FX4.

The exterior featured a distinctly modern design that was a marked departure from the boxy lines of the previous generation. The front grille was angular and featured an integrated Ford logo, while the rear featured a cantilevered step bumper. The Ranger was available in a wide range of colors, including the popular Ford "Lumo Green" and "Light Tundra Blue". It also had a variety of wheel designs, ranging from 15-inch steel wheels up to 17-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the Ford Ranger provided plenty of features to keep drivers comfortable and make every drive enjoyable. The interior was spacious and featured front bucket seats with adjustable headrests and an adjustable steering column. The instrument panel was easy to read and featured an analog clock, a digital odometer, and a trip computer. Air conditioning and power windows were also standard, as was an AM/FM stereo system with a CD player.

Safety was also important with the Ford Ranger, and all models came with dual front airbags and three-point safety belts. An optional Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) was also available, as was an optional trailer hitch receiver.

Overall, the 1998-2000 Ford Ranger was a dependable, capable pickup truck that was a great choice for both business and recreational use. It was good-looking, well made, and offered ample interior room and plenty of features. For those looking for a no-nonsense, reliable workhorse, the Ford Ranger of this era proved to be an outstanding choice.
