Aftermarket Ford Explorer 1991-1994 Bumper Kits

The Ford Explorer has been a trusted vehicle since its introduction in 1991. This midsize SUV was designed to provide a comfortable, versatile and reliable transportation option for families and adventurers alike.

The 1991 to 1994 Ford Explorer models featured a range of trim levels and engine options. The base model came with the 4-liter V6 engine that produced 155 horsepower and 220 pound-feet of torque. This engine provided excellent performance, especially when combined with the standard 5-speed manual transmission. For those seeking more power, there were two optional V8 engines available: a 5.0-liter with 205 horsepower and a 5.8-liter with 215 horsepower. Both were mated to an automatic four-speed transmission.

The exterior design of the Explorer was sleek and stylish, with a squared-off front end and a curved bodyline that ran from the hood all the way to the rear bumper. It featured large headlights with integrated fog lights and full-length side windows with power window controls. The back of the Explorer included a rear door that opened to reveal a large cargo area, as well as roof rails for carrying items on extended trips.

On the inside, the Explorer offered plenty of room for up to five passengers and their cargo. Cloth seats were standard with power adjustable lumbar support and reclining backrests. Other features included air conditioning with climate control, an AM/FM/Cassette stereo system, and a four-speaker system. An optional cloth interior package was also available which included additional luxuries such as a power driver’s seat, power windows and power door locks.

The Ford Explorer also offered excellent safety features including three-point shoulder and lap belts for all seating positions, front airbags, and a reinforced passenger compartment. The vehicle was awarded a perfect score in the NHTSA's crash tests, making it one of the safest vehicles in its class at the time.

Overall, the 1991 to 1994 Ford Explorers were reliable, powerful and safe transportation options for families and adventurers alike. With its wide range of trim levels and engine options, as well as its spacious and comfortable interior, the Explorer made it easy to get away and enjoy life.
