Aftermarket Ford Expedition 1997-1998 Bumper Kits

The Ford Expedition was introduced in 1997 and is a full-size SUV that has been in production ever since. It was created with the intention of providing a larger, more rugged vehicle than its predecessor, the Ford Bronco. The Expedition was the first SUV to be built on the F-series platform and it offers plenty of room for up to eight passengers.

The Ford Expedition model from 1997 to 1998 was a four-door sport utility vehicle that featured a 118 inch wheelbase and an overall length of 201 inches. It had a standard 8-cylinder engine and was available with either rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The model offered an optional 5.4-liter V8 engine that produced 230 horsepower and 330 lb.-ft. of torque. It was coupled to either a 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission or a 4-speed electronic shift automatic overdrive transmission. The wheels were either 15-inch painted steel wheels or 16-inch machined aluminum alloy.

Inside, the Ford Expedition was equipped with cloth or leather seating, depending on the trim level. It featured adjustable second and third row seats that allowed for extra cargo space when folded down. In addition, the Expedition had a variety of convenience features, such as power windows, power door locks, cruise control, power steering, and an audio system with six speakers and an AM/FM stereo.

The Ford Expedition was offered with a few different packages, such as the XLT package, which included an overhead console with storage bins, fog lamps, and an interior theft deterrent system. The Eddie Bauer Package added a sunroof, wood-grain interior accents, and chrome wheels, while the Limited Package included leather seating and a rear-view mirror with compass and temperature display.

Safety features on the Ford Expedition included dual airbags, adjustable shoulder belts, and daytime running lights. The base model was also equipped with an anti-lock braking system and traction control, while the Eddie Bauer and Limited packages included additional advanced features such as an electronic stability control system and an integrated trailer towing package.

The Ford Expedition was one of the more popular SUVs of the late 1990s, and it has remained popular in the years since. It offered plenty of space for passengers, as well as a variety of features and packages for drivers to choose from. The Ford Expedition was a reliable SUV that offered great performance, comfort, and safety features.
