Aftermarket Chevy Blazer Full Size 1967-1972 Bumper Kits

The Chevy Blazer Full Size, a model of the Chevrolet production line from 1967 to 1972, is an iconic vehicle from the classic muscle car era. This larger and heavier model was slightly less fuel-efficient than the compact, mid-size, and light-duty Blazers that followed, but it has remained popular with off-roaders, customizers, and classic enthusiasts alike.

The powertrain of the Chevy Blazer Full Size consisted of a variety of inline six- and eight-cylinder engines, ranging from a 230-cubic-inch six-cylinder capable of 140 horsepower to a 400-cube V8 engine that could generate up to 345 horses. Many of these engines were paired with three-speed manual transmissions, though an optional Turbo Hydra-Matic transmission was available on certain models. Other driveline options included part- or full-time four-wheel drive and limited-slip rear differentials.

The exterior styling of the Full Size Blazer was especially noteworthy, with its longer wheelbase, wide stance, and aggressive fender flares that gave it a noticeably bold appearance. The standard trim included a full-length black vinyl top, chromed bumpers, and distinctive rocker panel moldings. The interior was just as stylish, featuring hardwood inserts in the dashboard, carpeted floors, and two bucket front seats.

Perhaps the most enduring feature of the Full-Size Blazer was its off-road performance capabilities. Its solid front axle made it a capable rock crawler, and its large size provided plenty of room for extra aftermarket parts and additional suspension travel. From the factory, owners could choose from either the C10 or C20 off-road packages, both of which included special tires and heavy-duty shock absorbers.

By the early 1970s, the popularity of the Full-Size Blazer had waned as other Chevrolet SUVs began to take its place. Despite being discontinued in 1972, the Chevy Blazer Full Size has remained a classic vehicle and collector’s item. It remains a popular choice among off-roaders, customizers, and classic car enthusiasts alike. With its bold look, powerful engine, and excellent off-road capabilities, it is easy to see why the Blazer Full Size has remained an icon in the world of classic cars.
