Aftermarket Chevy 2500-3500 1967-1972 Bumper Kits
The Chevrolet 2500-3500 model from 1967 to 1972 is a classic vehicle with plenty of history. It was the first full-size truck from Chevrolet that featured a “conventional cab”, which replaced the earlier “unibody” cab construction used on the previous generation of C/K-series trucks from 1955 to 1966. The main feature of the conventional cab was its longer wheelbase and increased interior room, making it the perfect pickup for commercial use such as delivery or construction work.
At the time of its release, the Chevrolet 2500-3500 was available with two engine options: a 5.0-liter V8 and a 6.2-liter V8. Both were rated at 230 horsepower, with the larger engine having slightly more torque. The 2500 was also offered with a three-speed manual transmission while the 3500 came with either a three-speed manual or four-speed automatic. Depending on the model and the year, the Chevy 2500-3500 could be ordered with other options such as air conditioning and power steering.
In terms of styling, the Chevrolet 2500-3500 model had a fairly simple aesthetic that was favored by many buyers. The body had an angular shape with a tall grille in front and dual headlights on either side. The sides and back of the vehicle featured large windows that provided plenty of visibility for the driver. Inside, the cabin was basic, but comfortable, with vinyl seats, a wide bench in the front, and plenty of storage space.
When it came to performance, the Chevy 2500-3500 was known for providing plenty of power. The 5.0-liter V8 engine was capable of towing up to 7,000 pounds, while the 6.2-liter could handle up to 9,000 pounds. This made it an ideal choice for those with larger loads to transport. On the highway, the truck had an average fuel economy of around 14 miles per gallon.
The Chevrolet 2500-3500 model from 1967 to 1972 was a dependable and powerful pickup that remains popular among enthusiasts today. It was designed for commercial use, but its seating and storage capabilities make it a great choice for families as well. With its strong performance capabilities and distinct styling, the Chevy 2500-3500 is sure to remain a classic for many years to come.
